Contribute to Jefferson's Bicentennial Time Capsule

You don't want to miss history in the making.

To mark the end of Jefferson’s bicentennial year, we are building a time capsule to preserve the history and work of our current community of healers, builders and creative thinkers. The time capsule will be dedicated at a December ceremony and preserved in the Marion J. Siegman, PhD, FAPS Archives, not to be opened until 2074. And we need your help to make it happen!

Instructions

Submit a photo (with size dimensions) along with an explanation of why you think the item should be included in the time capsule by November 1. We’ll contact you if our committee sees it as a good fit to represent today’s Jefferson in 50 years!

Join us in preserving our history by submitting an item for consideration to be included in the Bicentennial Time Capsule.

Frequently Asked Questions

To celebrate the end of Jefferson’s Bicentennial year, we are creating a “time capsule” to fill with items to paint a picture of 2024 for Jeffersonians in 50 years. It will be filled with various items selected by the Jefferson community, sealed and reopened in 2074.

All Jefferson employees, faculty, staff, students and alumni can submit items for consideration to be included in the time capsule.

Anything that you think will best represent Jefferson today!

We will get in touch with anybody whose items are selected after Nov. 1 to coordinate getting the items in time for the ceremony.

Seating is limited in the Archives, but we will invite anybody who has donated items that will be sealed in the time capsule.
